Friday 13th - Birthday Party.
So on friday one of the new people that I have met was celebrating his birthday. Caleb has been in Japan for five years and this is his last few months, so this is his last birthday in Japan.
I did have to work that day so I showed up late to the party, but that's ok because I showed up for the second Izakaya. Everyone had a great time, especially the birthday boy! (of which I have no photo of from that night)
Saturday 14th - Wedding reception
I was going to use this day to explore a little bit more of Niihama, but Angelina called me up and asked if I wanted to meet up. I said yes so we took a trip out to a temple in Niihama.
A nice big tree. I was so small compared to it.
That evening I went with a bunch of friends to a wedding reception in Saijo. It was interesting to see how different even that is from the way that we having receptions at home. This was at a restaurant and there was music, but no dancing. It's not like at home where you eat and then people dance, this was finish at the restaurant and then go to another bar. I didn't join the next place, because I wanted to catch the train home. I was tired from the night before.
Caleb (the birthday boat) and Bret.
The happy couple.
Angelina and a friend.
Sunday 15th - River Party - Kamogawa, Saijo.
On Sunday the sun was out so we went to the river. It was just as nice the second time. The water is clean and nice to look at, but it is freezing when you get in. The reason is because the water flows down from a mountain and never really warms up.
This time I did brave the cold and go in. The first time I only floated along in a tube.
That night I went out in Niihama and did a little karaoke. It was a fun time.
Monday was a relaxing morning and then in the afternoon I spent time in the mall. I biked over and it was nice, but very very very hot. It was nice to get into the air conditioned mall and walk around, it was also nice that every store was having a sale.
Well that's what's been going on. The next update might come up after summer school.
